Terms of Service

The agreement between you and MyParental — including the rules that make the service safe to exist. Last updated: June 13, 2026.

1. The agreement

These Terms are a contract between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] ("MyParental", "we"). By creating an account or using the apps or website, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and forms part of this agreement.

2. Who may use MyParental

You must be an adult with legal capacity to contract to create an account. Parent accounts may add child devices only for children for whom the account holder is a parent or legal guardian. Adult circle members join only by accepting an invitation on their own device.

3. Acceptable use — the heart of these Terms

MyParental exists for transparent family safety. You agree that you will:

  • Monitor only your own minor children (children for whom you are a parent or legal guardian), in compliance with the laws that apply to you;
  • Never attempt to monitor an adult — a spouse, partner, ex-partner, employee, or anyone else — without their knowledge and freely given consent. The product prevents this by design; attempting to circumvent that design is a material breach;
  • Not circumvent transparency features — including attempting to hide the app, suppress its notifications or indicators, or conceal check-in logs from the person they concern;
  • Comply with local law, including laws on recording, surveillance, and the privacy of third parties near a monitored device;
  • Not abuse the service — no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling, interfering with other users, or using the service in connection with any unlawful act.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, and we cooperate with lawful investigations of misuse, including stalking and domestic-abuse investigations.

4. Your account and circle

You're responsible for keeping your credentials and parent PIN confidential and for activity under your account. Parents in a circle have equal administrative powers; adding a co-parent means trusting them with that role. Adults may leave a circle at any time from their own device.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

The Free plan is described on our pricing page. Premium is a subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; price and inclusions are shown before purchase. Cancel anytime in your store account settings — Premium continues to the end of the paid period, and refunds follow the stores' policies. If we change Premium's price, the stores notify you in advance and the change applies only with your continued renewal.

6. What we promise — and honest limits

We work to keep the service accurate, available and secure, and we describe features honestly across this site, including their limits. You acknowledge those physical and platform limits: location accuracy varies with signal conditions; alerts and SOS require a connected, powered device; content filters and safe modes are strong but not infallible; and certain controls work through operating-system frameworks (such as Apple's Screen Time) whose behavior we don't control. MyParental is a tool that assists parental supervision; it does not replace it, and we make no guarantee that use of the service will prevent any harm.

7. Intellectual property

The apps, site, brand and content are ours or our licensors' and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial family use — not sold. You keep ownership of content your family generates (such as Snapshot photos); you grant us only the license needed to operate the service for your circle.

8. Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your circle at any time; deletion removes your family's content data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach — especially of Section 3 — with notice where the law requires it.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we disclaim implied warranties; and our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence), and nothing affects statutory consumer rights in your country. [Have counsel adapt this section per jurisdiction.]

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes will be resolved in the courts of [VENUE], except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to your local courts and law. [Counsel: consider arbitration/class terms per market.]

11. Changes

If we change these Terms materially, we'll notify you in the app before the change takes effect; continued use after the effective date is acceptance. The current version always lives at myparental.app/terms.
