This Privacy Policy explains how MyParental handles information — both the information we collect about you as a customer, and the monitored data gathered from a device you have set up. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
We take privacy seriously in two directions at once: protecting your data as our customer, and making clear that monitored data must only ever be gathered lawfully, from a device you own or are authorized to monitor, with the user informed where the law requires.
When you create an account and use MyParental, we collect:
When you install MyParental on a device you control, the Service gathers data from that device — such as the categories described on our feature pages — and makes it available in your Control Panel.
Monitored data belongs to you, the account holder, and is visible only through your account. You are responsible for gathering it lawfully. As set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, you must only monitor a device you own, your own minor child's device, or a company-owned device where the user has been informed. You must not use the Service to collect data about anyone you have no right to monitor.
Monitored data is encrypted in transit and stored on secured servers, accessible only through your account login. We do not sell monitored data, and we do not share it except as needed to run the Service or where required by law.
We do not use monitored data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate (such as hosting and payment processing) under appropriate safeguards, and where required by law or valid legal process. We may share information to protect our rights, users, or the public, and in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and operational requirements. Monitored data is retained according to your plan and settings; you can delete data from your Control Panel where that option is available. When you close your account, we take steps to delete or anonymize data we no longer need to keep.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page. Note that requests about monitored data are handled with the account holder, who controls that data.
Our Service is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children as our own customers. Where a parent monitors a child's device, the parent controls that data and is responsible for it under our Acceptable Use Policy.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard information and to respond promptly to any issues.
We may update this Policy from time to time and will note the date of the latest version above. For any privacy question or request, reach us through the Contact page.
