Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about MyParental — how it works, what it costs, and how it must be used.

Getting started

What is MyParental?
MyParental is a mobile tracking and phone monitoring app that brings location, messages, calls, apps and more into one private dashboard, called your Control Panel, which you open from any browser.
How do I get started?
Choose a plan, create your account, and install the app on the device you want to monitor using our step-by-step guide. You can start on the free plan and upgrade any time.
Do I need the target device?
Yes. Monitoring requires installing the app on the device, so you need brief physical access to it. It's meant for a device you own or are authorized to manage. There's no way to monitor a phone remotely from just its number.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?
Yes, MyParental works on Android phones and tablets and on iPhone and iPad. Some features and setup details differ by platform; you can confirm compatibility at checkout.

Features & data

What can I monitor?
Depending on your plan, you can see location and route history, calls and messages, social and messaging apps, installed apps, screen time, web history and more. See the features page for the full list.
How often does data update?
Data syncs to your Control Panel automatically through the day, often within minutes, depending on the device and its connection.
Can I see data from before I installed it?
Generally no. Monitoring captures activity from the point the app is set up onward. Some things that already exist on the device, like the current contacts list, can be read as they stand.
Where do I view everything?
Everything appears in your online Control Panel. Log in from any browser on your own phone or computer to review it.

Privacy, security & lawful use

Is my data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and stored on secured servers behind your account login. Only you can see it, and it is never sold or shared.
Who is allowed to use MyParental?
It's for monitoring a device you own, your own minor child's device, or a company-owned device where the user has been informed. Using it on another adult without their consent is prohibited and may be illegal. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
Should the person know they're being monitored?
Yes. MyParental is built for transparent, consent-based monitoring. We encourage parents to talk to their children and require employers to inform staff, in line with the law and our Acceptable Use Policy.
Can I use it to track my partner or another adult?
No. MyParental must not be used to monitor another adult without their knowledge and consent. Doing so may be a crime, and it's a firm breach of our terms.

Plans, billing & support

How much does it cost?
There's a free plan with core features, a Premium plan at $10.99/month with the full feature set, and a yearly plan that saves 20%. Each plan covers one device. See the pricing page for details.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Paid plans renew automatically and you can cancel whenever you like. Cancelling stops future renewals at the end of the current billing period.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. You can upgrade from Free to Premium or move to the yearly plan at any time from your account. Changes apply going forward.
